RDTCI integrates the skills of and array of therapists (physical, occupational, speech, education, psychology), familiy participation, dolphins, warm water and a beautiful, peaceful location to create a therapy environment that accomplishies amazing results in a short period of time. With individualized consultations for families, parents leave feeling that they are equipped with the tools necessary to implement strategies at home in order to continue progressing toward reaching the highest potential for their child.
Prior to your arrival we will review previous therapy and medical reports and/or any records from other professionals. In addition, a parent narrative and video are suggested to assist in planning and implementing the individualized therapy program.
It is important to us that parents acclimate to the new surroundings and to the therapy program. Parents receive verbal
and written information pertaining to the course of therapy. Orientation day provides the family with the opportunity to familiarize
themselves with the program and plan for the upcoming weeks while in Grand Cayman.

Depending on the needs of the child/adult, consultations are available with other staff members. Consultations such as Educational Reviews, Family Relationships, Sibling issues or other therapy components are conducted regularly.
Each week we conduct a Music/Rhythm themed session with all of our children and parents. Music is an integral part of the therapy process. Teaching simple rhythm, along with ‘singing and signing’ is a fun and educational segment for all of the families to enjoy.

Comprehensive daily reports are compiled by your child’s therapist documenting the therapy, both classroom and on-dock activities. These summaries are included in the final report at the conclusion of the therapy course.
RDT currently conducts parent workshops several times a week. Workshop topics include the IEP (Individual Education Plan), Behavior Management, P.E.T. (Parent Education Training), Relaxation Techniques, and many other interesting topics. Workshops that are not scheduled to take place may also be requested by the parents, and held on an individual basis.
we provide formal reports along with recommendations to each family. A complete synopsis of the child's/adult's therapy, along with daily session summaries and recommendations are included in the final RDT report.
A personalized photo CD of your child’s experience at RDTCI is also provided to your family on the last day of therapy.
